Three acts to Valley of Arts, Hungary

Postman (Ukraine), Ben Ellis (Wales), and Marged (Wales) – will represent the EXCITE music network at this year’s Valley of Arts Festival in Hungary. Their participation is supported by EXCITE and its partner organizations.

Valley of Arts Festival is one of Hungary’s largest and most beloved summer festivals, held in the picturesque Káli Basin. The event is known for its diverse programming, which combines contemporary music, theatre, film, literature, and fine arts in a multi-day cultural celebration. Welcoming over 100,000 visitors each year, the festival is a unique blend of heritage and innovation — making it a perfect setting to showcase Europe’s most exciting emerging music talents.

Meet the Artists:

Postman (Ukraine) – singer-songwriter known for his sincere lyrics, warm acoustic sound, and subtle social commentary. Often referred to as Ukraine’s modern-day troubadour, Postman creates music that blends indie folk with 60s-style influences, evoking artists like Bob Dylan or Nick Drake — but with a distinct post-Soviet twist. He has toured across Europe and is gaining recognition for building cultural bridges through intimate live performances, most recently as part of the EXCITE showcase in Cardiff.

Ben Ellis (Wales) – A fast-rising pop singer-songwriter from Cardiff, Ben has gained wide attention with his emotionally honest songwriting and dynamic stage energy. With millions of streams, sold-out UK shows, and support from BBC Radio 1, he’s considered one of the UK’s most promising new acts. His latest project, The Hollywood EP, explores themes of identity, ambition, and belonging.

Marged (Wales) – A powerful and poetic voice in the UK independent scene, Marged crafts deeply moving songs rooted in resilience and vulnerability. With experience performing at Glastonbury, BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, and Jools Holland, she brings a unique blend of vocal precision and raw emotional storytelling to the stage.
